About the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Ceremonial Unit

The purpose of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office Pipes & Drums and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, also known together and in its entirety as the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office Ceremonial Unit, is to assist, when requested, the family members of the fallen while continuing the Military traditions associated with the Safety Forces in America. To facilitate this endeavor, the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office Ceremonial Unit will obtain funds or income for charitable purposes within the community. The service that we provide is done so without reimbursement from a grieving family.

The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office Pipes & Drums, also referred to as the “Band”, engages in teaching Highland Bagpiping and Pipe Band Drumming, as well as furthering the Celtic Arts and Traditions at public performances.

The mission of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard is to properly honor those who pay the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and those who have served their communities. The Honor Guard serves the law enforcement profession with diligence, professionalism and integrity. The Honor Guard constantly strives for excellence through regular training and education and offers its services when called upon to do so.
